The central mission of the FORTE Counseling and Training Center is to:

 Offer psychological services for police officers, firefighters, and emergency service personnel for mental, physical, and spiritual healing
 Provide educational workshops and training conferences specifically designed for emergency services personnel and their families
 Be a counseling center providing counseling services as well as recreational programs and training for necessary support, follow-up, prevention, and continuing education
 Commit to providing services at minimal cost to emergency services personnel by generating funds through grants, sponsorships, fundraising events, and membership support from corporations, agencies, associations, and on-going individual support

Bobby Smith founded FORTE (Foundation of Officers Recovering from Traumatic Events), a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation, because of his own experiences in dealing with trauma and loss. Having walked alone through the recovery process after being shot and blinded during his 11 year law enforcement career, Bobby wants no one to suffer as he did.
